As India are set for an electrifying Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 showdown, Shikhar Dhawan has expressed his unwavering confidence in Team India's ability to clinch a historic hat-trick of Test series wins on Australian soil later this year.
Following a demoralizing Test series whitewash at the hands of New Zealand at home, India’s upcoming tour Down Under holds even greater significance, with stakes higher than ever.

Shikhar Dhawan was quoted as saying by the Times of India: “I believe we have a solid chance to bag a hat-trick of title wins in Australia. We’ve done exceptionally well in the last two series there. I’m sure the team will go to Australia with a positive, winning mindset.”

Meanwhile, Shikhar Dhawan believes that the invaluable experience of the senior stalwarts Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah on Australian pitches will prove invaluable against the formidable Aussie attack.
The former left-handed batter said that Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Rohit Sharma will not only bring their expertise but also act as pillars of motivation and mentorship for India’s younger talents Down Under.
The new generation of Indian players is unphased by pressure, and they have shown incredible resolve and adaptability. Dhawan considers these qualities essential for surviving the challenging conditions of Australian pitches.
Known for their pace and bounce, the pitches in Australia have historically tested even the finest batsmen, but Dhawan is confident that Team India’s batting lineup is prepared to handle the Australian bowling weapons in the five-match Test series.

And though pace is always a challenge there, our batters are well-prepared to handle it.”
