During a recent conversation on Sports Tak, Vikrant Gupta revealed that he received a call from Rohit in 2018 regarding his failure of the yo-yo test. Vikrant revealed the whole conversation between him and Rohit.

"In 2018, India had to go to England and we did a story that Rohit Sharma's yo-yo test wasn't cleared easily in Bengaluru. Rohit called me and said that it is totally wrong. I said that it might be that it's wrong. And Rohit told me very casually. At that time, he had also tweeted a picture of his running shoes. I couldn't tell him who told me this," Vikrant revealed on Sports Tak.

"Then I thought of leaving the matter and said sorry to him. Although the story was right that he was struggling but he had cleared the test later. But his behavior did not change after that moment and it was not like he won't talk to me again," he added.

Before India's 2018 tour of England, there were reports that Rohit Sharma failed to clear the yo-yo test, due to which he hasn't traveled to the UK for the series. However, it was cleared later that he had sought an exemption from BCCI as he had a sponsor commitment in Russia.

After the commitment, Rohit cleared the yo-yo test in style at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru and took a dig at his critics, possibly the journalists who had earlier reported that he had failed to clear the yo-yo test.
