India captain Rohit Sharma is on the cusp of achieving a massive six-hitting record in Test cricket. The senior opener is just 14 sixes away from becoming the leading six-hitter for the India National Cricket Team in the longest format of the game.

Rohit Sharma has justified his tag Hitman even in Test cricket. He has been a six-hitting machine for the team in the longest format of the game. Irrespective of the conditions, he has tried to put pressure on the opposition, and in the process, he has hit ample of sixes.

Rohit Sharma currently has 77 sixes in Test cricket and is just one six away from equalling MS Dhoni’s tally of 78 sixes and becoming be second-leading six-getter in the longest format of the game. Currently, Virender Sehwag is at the top with 90 sixes to his name.

Rohit Sharma will have a great opportunity to surpass both MS Dhoni and Virender Sehwag in the upcoming Test series against England. India will be hosting England for the five-match series from 25th January to 11th December across 5 different venues in India.

Batting great Sachin Tendulkar also features with 69 sixes to his name. Kapil Dev ended with his career with 61 maximums whereas Ravindra Jadeja is next with 58 hits to his name. Sourav Ganguly and Rishabh Pant are also there with 57 and 55 sixes respectively.
