On the night of May 8-9, Pakistan launched several drone and weapon attacks across Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat. The Indian Army responded strongly and neutralized the attacks. The viral videos showed red flashes and sirens for over two hours as explosions lit up the sky as the tension continued to rise.
At least eight Pakistani missiles were shot down in the Jammu region, including Satwari, Samba, RS Pura, and Arnia, using India’s powerful S-400 air defense system. Loud sirens and blackouts were reported in Jammu, Akhnoor, Samba, Baramulla, and Kupwara as tension continues to rise near the border.

Manoj Tiwary says Rohit Sharma deserved better send-off
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma recently announced his retirement from Test cricket, which stunned many, including Manoj Tiwary, who felt the senior opener deserved a grand farewell from the format, as India was already scheduled to play five Tests in England next month.
Manoj Tiwary was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz, “If Rohit had retired not on social media but on the field after playing, it would have been a more fitting send-off. It would've felt better for all of us too. Just look at his record as a Test captain; it's very good. He's won 12 tests, lost 9, and drawn 3. So, there's no doubt about his success rate — it's solid.”
Tiwary signed off by saying, “He was a very popular leader among this group of boys. If you see, even the young players wanted to play under him. We always hear them say in their interviews, 'I really enjoyed playing under Rohit Sharma's captaincy’.”
