Former Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was caught peeking at Reliance Foundation founder Nita Ambani’s phone, and the video went viral on social media platforms. The incident took place during the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 final between India and South Africa at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
India defeated South Africa by 52 runs in the final on Sunday, November 2. The Women in Blue lifted their maiden World Cup trophy, and several former cricketers, business figures, and politicians were present to witness the moment. Rohit and his family, along with the Ambani family, were seen at the venue.

A light-hearted moment from the Women’s World Cup final went viral when Rohit Sharma was seen glancing at Nita Ambani’s phone during the match. The two were seated together in the VIP box at the DY Patil Stadium, with Rohit accompanied by his wife, Ritika Sajdeh.
As Nita Ambani used her phone while watching the game, cameras caught Rohit Sharma repeatedly peeking at her screen with curiosity. The clip quickly went viral on social media, becoming a talking point among fans.

One fan wrote, "mai hota to mai bhi dekhta." Another joined in with a playful comment: "Can't text now, Ro is next to me!!" A different user joked that Nita Ambani might have been adding items to her online shopping list, quipping, "yahi ki madam kya kya add to cart kar rhi hain."
Shafali Verma Named Player of the Match in World Cup Final
India lifted their maiden Women’s ODI World Cup after defeating South Africa by 52 runs in the final at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
India scored 298/7 after being asked to bat first. Shafali Verma struck 87 off 78 balls, while Deepti Sharma added an unbeaten 58. Smriti Mandhana (45) and Richa Ghosh (34 off 24) chipped in with valuable runs. Ayabonga Khaka was the pick of the bowlers for South Africa with three wickets.
South Africa faltered in the chase despite a brilliant century from captain Laura Wolvaardt. The rest of the batting order failed to offer support as India bowled them out for 246. Deepti Sharma delivered a match-defining spell with five wickets, and Shafali contributed with two scalps.
Rohit Sharma Last Seen in Action During Australia ODIs
Rohit Sharma guided the Men in Blue to ICC trophies as captain. India ended their ICC title drought with the 2024 T20 World Cup win, and he later led the side to the 2025 Champions Trophy triumph in the UAE.
The 38-year-old was last seen in action during the ODI series against Australia, where India lost 2-1. However, he amassed 202 runs in three innings at an average of 101 and a strike rate of 85. He was named the Player of the Series for his batting performance.
The right-handed batter reached the No. 1 spot in the ICC ODI batting rankings for the first time in his career. Rohit has scored 11,370 runs in 276 ODIs at an average of 49.22, with 59 fifties and 33 centuries.
The veteran opener is expected to be back in action later this month when India host South Africa for a three-match ODI series beginning November 30 in Ranchi.
