IPL Points Table 2026: Updated Standings, Orange Cap, Purple Cap After RCB vs DC Match 26

The TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, match no.26, was between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and the Delhi Capitals (DC). It was the first of the double header on Saturday. It was a jam-packed M Chinnaswamy Stadium. In the match, DC beat RCB by 6 wickets, as it was their second-last home game at this venue before they shift to Raipur.
Delhi Capitals captain won the toss and elected to field first, and they came in with an unchanged XI from their last match loss against the Chennai Super Kings. RCB also played the same team. The opening pair of Phil Salt and Virat Kohli were off to a flying start as they stitched a 52-run partnership for the first wicket.
IPL 2026: RCB vs DC Match Result:
Kohli was the first man to be dismissed for the score of 19 off 13 balls. Salt took charge and kept on scoring at a decent pace, and brought up his fifty in just 30 balls. It was his second half-century this season. RCB were scoring at 10 an over during the halfway stage, but then Devdutt Padikkal was dismissed by Axar.
Salt was also dismissed in the following over with Kuldeep Yadav picking the dangerous batter on the score of 63 off 38 balls. Tim David started his rampage from the very first ball he faced, and RCB captain Rajat Patidar did not have much to do as he was dismissed on the score of 8 runs.
However, David was dismissed on the score of 26 runs off 17 runs as he could not get going in the last five overs. RCB had a collapse in the middle overs as they lost 5 wickets in the span of 50 runs. Then the reigning champions failed to get on in the match, and DC bowlers restricted the home side to 175/8.
Coming out to chase the DC opener, Pathum Nissanka was dismissed early on in the innings. The wickets kept on falling as Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked three wickets in 11 deliveries and created havoc for the DC batter as they were reduced to 18/3. KL Rahul was charging from one end, and Tristan Stubbs was playing as an anchor.
They stitched a fifty-partnership in the run chase off 31 balls. Rahul scored his fifty in 30 balls and was dismissed with the score of 57 runs as DC were 87/4. Stubbs and Axar Patel then stitched a partnership, but the latter was back retired hurt. Stubbs was unbeaten with the score of 60 off 47 balls, and David Miller, the finisher, scored 22 off 10 balls.
