Deep Dasgupta sends strong message on Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli's India future
Meanwhile, former India wicketkeeper Deep Dasgupta has stressed that there should be no questions over Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli's places in the team, as they have earned that trust through years of consistent performances.
His comments came amid the buzz over their ODI future as India begins preparations for the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2027. Even some reports claimed that Rohit is not in the team’s plans for the mega event in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia next year.
Deep Dasgupta said in a video on his YouTube channel, as quoted by the Indian Express, "That has to be a conversation with everyone, not just them (Kohli and Rohit): they have to start the series well and hit the ground running."
