Former India National Cricket Team keeper-batter Dinesh Karthik shared his opinion about Mumbai Indians batter Rohit Sharma joining Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. He came up with a stunning reaction which created quite a few speculations.
Things have started to get in place for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. There have been various talks related to the leagues surrounding the Impact Player rule, retentions, and even the IPL 2025 mega auction. This comes after the BCCI and IPL franchise owners' meeting.
Also, since the last edition of the IPL, there have been a lot of speculations about the future of Rohit Sharma with Mumbai Indians. This is because the franchise removed the premier batter from the leadership role and appointed Hardik Pandya as the captain.
It came as a big surprise because Hardik Pandya was traded from the Gujarat Titans and was handed the leadership. Even after Rohit made Mumbai Indians the most successful franchise, he wasn't retained as captain. He helped the team win five titles in the IPL, winning in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020.
Following the removal of Rohit as the captain of Mumbai Indians, there were various reports about the future of the batter with the team. It was learned that he was unhappy with the way he was being treated and Hardik Pandya's leadership caused a rift within the team with players arguing over the decision related to the team.
Not only this, it was also learned that Rohit Sharma will be leaving Mumbai Indians after the IPL 2024. The batter will be up for grabs in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Even the India captain hinted about the same when his conversation with KKR coach Abhishek Nayar went viral with the batter indirectly saying it was his last season with the team.
Rohit also during the game between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders raised many speculations. During the rain break, he was seen sitting inside the KKR dressing room rather than being with his Mumbai Indians teammates.
