Prime Minister Narendra Modi is reportedly set to meet Team India members after their triumphant campaign in the recently-concluded ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

Team India beat South Africa by 7 runs in the final on Saturday (June 29). Riding on Virat Kohli's brilliant knock of 76 runs, India posted a competitive total of 176/7 in 20 overs. India were reeling at 34 for 3 in the 5th over after Rohit Sharma opted to bat first before Virat Kohli showed once again why he is considered one of the modern-day greats.

Apart from Kohli, Axar Patel also played a crucial knock of 47 runs. In reply, South Africa started poorly too and lost the wickets of Reeza Hendricks and captain Aiden Markram for just 12 runs. However, they recovered soon thanks to a 58-run stand between Quinton de Kock and Tristan Stubbs before a quickfire fifty from Heinrich Klaasen put them on the verge of a historic win.

At the end of the 16th over, they were on 151 for 4 with Klaasen and David Miller in the middle. However, India's bowlers came up with a brilliant effort to concede only 18 runs in the last 4 overs while also taking 4 wickets.
