As per the latest reports, no review of the Indian Test team's performance is to be conducted, as they take a break from red-ball cricket and shift their focus entirely to limited-overs cricket.

However, it has been revealed that the BCCI is planning to intervene in the tension building between head coach Gautam Gambhir and the two veterans Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

The Indian team have struggled to maintain their high standards significantly under Gautam Gambhir, with the former KKR mentor only successful in the shortest format of the game and failing to produce satisfactory results in the other two formats.

BCCI to conduct a review meeting after the tiff in the ODI team

After the extremely poor performance from India's Test team and the second home series whitewash, a review meeting was expected to be conducted by the BCCI. Also, they should have addressed the coaching woes after Gautam Gambhir had been mistreated over time.

However, the latest reports from Dainik Jagran reporter Abhishek Tripathi have revealed that no review meeting will take place for the Indian Test team's performance, and even if it has to take place, it would only be after the ODI and T20I series against South Africa.

However, he has also revealed that the BCCI is more concerned about the internal atmosphere within the ODI team and has been planning for a review meeting to address the underlying issues. It has been noted that the environment within the Test and T20I dressing room is excellent, but the ODI team's has been reportedly poor.

BCCI's review meeting to be held in Raipur or Vishakhapatnam

Though the Indian team management and also batting coach Sitanshu Kotak have not agreed to such claims, the increasing tensions within the team seem to be very much evident.

Sitanshu Kotak had said in the press conference after the First ODI in Ranchi that no such review meeting had been planned and questioned, “What is the need for a review meeting?”

However, a BCCI source of the Dainik Jagran had revealed that the relationship between the head coach Gautam Gambhir and senior players Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma is not as good as it should be, and this can be a concern in the long run.

The same source had confirmed that a review meeting could be held anytime soon, and the meeting could possibly be held in either Raipur or Vishakhapatnam, the next two venues for India's matches. It has also been revealed that the BCCI is angry at the fans of Kohli and Rohit Sharma for targeting Gautam Gambhir.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have put on an ageless performance since their return

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli returned to play the ODIs against the Proteas. They have been as fit as ever, charged up and determined to prove that there's still lots of cricket left in them.

Rohit Sharma came off a stunning Australia tour and now has three consecutive half-centuries in his last four ODI innings, while Virat Kohli, who had a clumsy start, got into his groove and put on a show with a stunning half-century in Australia and a century in India.
