Piyush Chawla gave Mumbai Indians the much-needed breakthrough in the ongoing game against Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium by castling in-form Jos Buttler.

Buttler came into this game after scoring a match-winning unbeaten century in his last outing against Kolkata Knight Riders. The England star got the start in the ongoing game as well as he and Yashasvi Jaiswal made sure that the Royals did not lose any wickets until Piyush Chawla came to bowl the eighth over of the innings and his first.

In the first four balls, the veteran spinner conceded just two singles and also beat Jos Buttler's outside edge with a beauty. On the fifth delivery, the England captain came up with a reverse sweep to hit a four. Piyush Chawla, however, had the last laugh.

On the final delivery of the over, the former India spinner castled Jos Buttler. He completely outfoxed the right-handed batsman with a googly. Buttler rocked back on his backfoot and was perhaps anticipating the ball to turn away from him. However, the ball turned the other way and went on to crash into the off stump. Piyush Chawla also gave Buttler a send-off as he was seen saying: "Beh****od"

Talking about the game, Rajasthan Royals were on 102 for 1 in the 11th over while chasing 180. At the time of writing this report, Jaiswal and captain Sanju Samson were batting in the middle for the table-toppers.

Earlier in the game, Mumbai Indians finished their innings on 179/9. Tilak Varma top-scored for the five-time champions, scoring 65 off 45 balls while Nehal Wadhera played a crucial knock of 49 runs from just 24 balls. For the Royals, Sandeep Sharma picked up five wickets while Trent Boult picked up one wicket.

"It’s a really good opportunity. Finally it came, I’m happy to do well but I will be more happy if my team wins. We lost of couple of wickets early on, my duty was to wait for the loose balls, we had done it together in the previous season and we had the confidence in ourselves to do well again, hoping our team crosses the line and wins," said Wadhera after the innings.
