Australia star David Warner was the victim of an embarrassing situation at the Los Angeles International Airport. The Australia opener and his wife Candice Warner recently paid a visit to the United States of America to attend the wedding of singer and actress Miley Cyrus’ mother Tish Cyrus.
She tied the knot with Australian actor Dominic Purcell in Malibu on August 25. And after attending the high-profile wedding, David Warner and his wife were on their way to home when the cricket star faced the embarrassing situation at the airport during the mandatory security check.
The Australian batsman was stopped by the security personnel following an unexpected result from the metal-detecting machine. According to Candice, her husband had to wait for further checks after the machine detected something on his testicles. She revealed the details about the incident on Australian radio station Triple M.
“David went through the first one where you walk through and it started beeping. So, they (security) then ushered him to the full body scanner. He puts his arms up and it beeps again,” Candice said.
Speaking further, Candice revealed that David Warner’s testicles showed a “hot spot” on the X-ray machine. With the result of the scan appearing on a giant screen, my fellow passengers started laughing.
“The security man came up to him and said, ‘Look, we are going to have to sort this out’. But I was left confused wondering what is going on downstairs or what is going on with my husband’s package,” Candice recalled.
David Warner was eventually cleared by the security staff and he and his wife managed to return home without facing much trouble.
No piercing for David Warner:
With the reason behind David Warner’s embarrassing situation unclear, Dr Sam, who serves as Triple M’s Rush Hour medical expert, tried to find out one. The doctor assumed that the star batsman might have got a piercing on his private parts.
Candice, however, quickly rubbished the speculation, saying” No, no, there’s no piercings.”
Meanwhile, David Warner will soon arrive in India for the three-match ODI series and the World Cup. The 2015 World Cup winner is a part of Australia’s provisional squad for the World Cup. The ODI series will be played from September 21 to 27 before the World Cup starts on October 5.
