In yet another heartwarming gesture, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has come to the aid of 19-year-old Dipti Viswasrao, a resident of Zarye village in Ratnagiri district and she is now on course to become the First lady doctor from her village.

Dipti has been a top-notch student throughout her life but given the financial situation of her family, the journey has been tough for the 19-year-old.

During the lockdown, Dipti would travel a kilometer every day as her village was remotely located, so that she could get a network connection to study online.

Her hard work and relentless pursuit eventually paid off as Dipti Viswasrao performed brilliantly in her board exams besides clearing the National Entrance Exam (NEET) to secure Government medical college at Akola.

But financial constraints still came in her way even as she secured the admission as she was unable to bear the expenses of college fees and other expenses due to the modest income of his father.

But, just as she was losing hope, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar came to her rescue.

In association with Seva Sahyog Foundation (SSF), Sachin Tendulkar ensured that young Dipti is well on her way to realize her ambitions of becoming the first-ever doctor in her village.

Despite the challenges incurred in reaching her obscure village, Sachin Tendulkar, along with SSF officials, ensured that funds were allotted within a short span of time.

In a video shared by the SSF Twitter handle, Dipti expressed his gratitude towards Sachin Tendulkar for his benevolent gesture.

“I am thankful to Sachin Tendulkar Foundation for awarding me the scholarship. The scholarship has lightened all my financial burden which allows me to focus more on my studies. My lifelong dream of becoming a doctor is now moving forward and is becoming reality at Government medical college Akola. I promise I will work hard and one day I will be able to help other brilliant students for fulfilling their dreams just as Sachin Tendulkar Foundation helped (me).”
