Sachin Tendulkar is likely to receive the prestigious CK Nayudu Award from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) at their upcoming annual awards function in Mumbai. While it's not officially confirmed, reports suggest that the legendary cricketer is likely to be honored with the highest BCCI award.
Sachin Tendulkar holds the record for the most runs in international cricket, amassing 34,357 runs in 664 matches across all formats. The former batter hit 100 centuries and 154 half-centuries. He has the most runs in both ODIs (18,426) and Tests (15,921) and also picked up 201 wickets in his illustrious career.
Sachin Tendulkar Likely to Be Honored at BCCI's Annual Awards Function
According to Cricbuzz, Sachin Tendulkar is expected to be honored at the BCCI's annual awards function in Mumbai on February 1. The report added that it is not confirmed which specific award he will receive, but he is likely to receive the lifetime achievement award at the Naman BCCI Awards function.
Tendulkar, a World Cup winner and recipient of the Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian honor in India, is highly deserving of the recognition. He represented the Indian national cricket team for 24 years, from 1989 to 2013. Former India coach Ravi Shastri was the last recipient of the prestigious award in 2023.
Sachin Tendulkar scored 15,921 runs in 200 Tests at an average of 53.78, including 51 centuries and 68 fifties. In ODIs, he amassed 18,426 runs in 463 matches at an average of 44.83, with 49 centuries and 96 half-centuries. He also played one T20I, where he scored just 10 runs at a strike rate of 83.33.

Mumbai Cricket Association to Receive Best Performance Award at BCCI Annual Awards for 2023-24
The guest speaker for the prestigious MAK Pataudi lecture has yet to be confirmed. Meanwhile, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) will be honored as the best domestic cricket association. Last year, Mumbai secured their victory in the Ranji Trophy for the 42nd time.
"Mumbai Cricket Association will be honored with the Best Performance in BCCI Domestic Tournaments (2023-24) award at the BCCI Annual Awards - Naman 2023-24. This recognition reflects Mumbai's dominance in domestic cricket, including the Ranji Trophy and Irani Cup triumphs, and celebrates the relentless spirit of our players, support staff, and administrators," the MCA said in a statement.
Mumbai is the most successful team in the Ranji Trophy, having won the title 42 times. They ended the drought last year, as their previous victory was in 2016.
