Sachin Tendulkar hails New Zealand’s ‘dream’ Test series win; Dodda Ganesh indirectly demands Rohit, Kohli's exit

Former India National Cricket Team players Sachin Tendulkar, Sanjay Manjrekar, and Dodda Ganesh reacted on X after the Test series loss of the Indian Team against the New Zealand National Cricket Team on home soil.

Sachin Tendulkar hailed the Black Caps for the 'dream' series win while Sanjay Manjrekar labelled New Zealand's performance as absolutely sensational. Dodda Ganesh, meanwhile, urged the selectors to act after an embarrassing defeat.

New Zealand dominated the Indian team

In the first Test in Bengaluru, Team India lost to New Zealand by 8 wickets to start the series on a poor note. They were bowled out for a shocking 46 in the first innings of the match and that proved to be the biggest point of difference in the match.

Although India came up with a better showing in the second innings (462), the target of 107 was never going to be defended as the visitors easily crossed the finishing line.

In the second Test in Pune, Mitchell Santner demolished the Indian batting unit with his best-ever performance in Test cricket. He bagged 13 wickets in the match and ensured New Zealand won the match by 113 runs and took an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the match.

Indian batters struggled badly and could only register 156 runs in the first innings. Then, they got a target of 359 runs to chase, which they failed to do, and got bowled out for 245.

The legendary India National Cricket Team batter Sachin Tendulkar was mighty impressed with the performance of the New Zealand National Cricket Team, and he hailed the team's all-round efforts.

Tendulkar also gave a special mention to Mitchell Santner for his Player of the Match-winning performance against India.

Pakistan winning without Babar Azam and NZ winning without Kane Williamson - Dodda Ganesh

Former cricketer Dodda Ganesh, meanwhile, was quite cryptic with his post on X. He sent an indirect message to the selectors to drop the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, highlighting the victories of Pakistan and New Zealand without Babar Azam and Kane Williamson.

Sanjay Manjrekar also came up with a big praise for New Zealand as he stated that the visitors destroyed India with both seam and spin-bowling to clinch the series.

"One can pick many faults in India’s performance this series, but the biggest story is New Zealand! As to how great they have been. Destroyed India in Bangalore with seam & with spin in Pune. Thats just sensational!," Sanjay Manjrekar wrote on X.
