Sahibzada Farhan threatens to dethrone Abhishek Sharma from top of ICC T20I Batting Rankings

Pakistan opening batter Sahibzada Farhan has moved close to the top spot in the ICC T20I rankings following his impressive performances in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. The right-handed batter, who is the leading run-getter in the tournament, has become the third-ranked batter in the shortest format.
Farhan has scored 283 runs in five innings at an average of 70.75 and a strike rate of 158.10, including one century and two half-centuries. He scored 63 runs off 45 balls, including seven boundaries and two sixes, in the recent match against England. However, the Men in Green suffered a two-wicket loss.
Sahibzada Farhan Closes In On Top ICC T20I Batting Ranking
After his strong performances in the T20 World Cup, Sahibzada Farhan jumped two places in the rankings. He is now very close to England’s Phil Salt, who holds the second position.
Meanwhile, India’s Abhishek Sharma has retained the number one spot. He remains at the top despite struggling for form in the tournament so far. Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka dropped one place to fourth.
India also have two other batters in the top 10. Ishan Kishan jumped three places to fifth, while Tilak Varma slipped three spots to seventh. South Africa’s Dewald Brevis climbed ten places to enter the top 10 in ninth position.
Jasprit Bumrah Enters Top 10 in Bowling Rankings After Seven-Place Jump
Pakistan mystery spinner Usman Tariq jumped 59 places to reach 55th in the bowling rankings. Indian spinner Varun Chakaravarthy remains at the top of the T20I bowlers’ list, with Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan in second place.
India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah climbed seven places from 15th to eighth. Bumrah picked up three wickets for 15 runs against South Africa, even though India lost the match.
South Africa all-rounder Corbin Bosch climbed 21 places to reach third after taking two wickets for 12 runs against India and three for 12 against the UAE.
West Indies pacer Matthew Forde moved up 23 spots to seventh, just ahead of Bumrah. He took two wickets for 27 runs against Zimbabwe after earlier claiming three for 19 against Italy in the group stage.
Sikandar Raza Reclaims Top All-Rounder Spot, Dethroning Saim Ayub
Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza has regained the number one spot in the ICC Men’s T20I all-rounders’ rankings. He moved back to the top, with Pakistan opener Saim Ayub in second place. India’s Hardik Pandya remains third.
Raza climbed to the top after strong performances in the T20 World Cup. He scored 45 runs against Sri Lanka in Colombo and followed it up with 27 against the West Indies in Mumbai. The skipper played a key role in helping Zimbabwe qualify for the Super Eight stage.
India’s Shivam Dube climbed two spots to seventh among all-rounders. Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi moved up three places to eighth on the all-rounders’ list. Italy’s Benjamin Manenti jumped two places to reach 14th.
