Indian batters Sai Sudharsan and Karun Nair, who are up for a single middle-order spot in the Indian Team, have made a stellar impression just before the Indian selectors panel decides on the upcoming red-ball home series against the West Indies.
Both Sai Sudharsan and Karun Nair were part of the India vs England series; however, neither the debutant Sudharsan nor the experienced Nair, who was making his return after 8 years, could impress with their performance on English soil.
As a result of their poor form, it was cited that only one of these two players would be considered to be picked for the home series against the West Indies. However, their return to commanding form would now lead to a huge dilemma for the National selector, Ajit Agarkar.
Sai Sudharsan convinces selectors with back-to-back standout innings for India A

Despite his breathtaking form in T20s, he was not offered a chance in the Indian Asia Cup squad. However, he has been considered likely to play in the longest format of the game. The batter has been considered to feature as India's most likely no. 3 after Shubman Gill, the skipper, took up the new role in the batting order.
Recently, Sudharsan has featured for India A in the series against Australia A. In the first Test, the batter went on to score 73 off 124 balls, while in the second Test, he scored another fine innings of 75 runs in just 140 balls.

On the other hand, increasing the difficulties for the selectors Ajit Agarkar, Karun Nair, and the other contender for the same spot in the Indian squad for the West Indies tour.

Dhruv Jurel is assured of a spot in the Playing XI against the West Indies
Dhruv Jurel, the Indian wicket-keeper batsman, has been in some stunning form. He was considered the most likely contender to replace Rishabh Pant in the West Indies series, since Pant is likely to miss the series due to his injury.
Jurel, on the other hand, has performed stunningly well in the first innings of the India A vs Australia A first Test. His terrific 140-run innings gave him an early lead in the race for the Team India playing XI.
