As play resumed on Day 3, Sudharsan’s absence from the field surprised fans and commentators. Now, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has clarified that Sai was being monitored and that the decision was purely precautionary to rest him for Day 3.

Coming into the match under pressure after a modest outing in the first Test in Ahmedabad, Sudharsan walked out with intent and looked in complete control from the start. His fluent strokeplay and calm approach against both pace and spin stood out in Delhi.
Since making his debut during the England tour earlier this year, the Tamil Nadu batter has shown glimpses of brilliance. He scored 61 in Manchester for his maiden half-century, but he is still chasing the elusive century. Now, Sai’s hopes of reaching three figures are dented by the latest setback.
India close to a 2-0 clean sweep against the West Indies
Well, there has been no improvement in the West Indies’ batting, as they have already lost 8 wickets for 175 runs in reply to India’s massive 518/5d in the ongoing second and final Test in Delhi.
Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav have so far been lethal for the West Indies batter, taking seven wickets together so far at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
