Saim Ayub under political pressure!! Pakistani leader issues open threat ahead of Asia Cup 2025 final

Amid a form crisis in the Asia Cup 2025, Pakistani politicians have now started trolling their own cricketers for their humiliating show, which has led to the team's struggles. Ayub, who scored 4 ducks in his last 6 appearances in the Asia Cup, would surely be under immense pressure after this mockery.
Pakistan will face India in the highly anticipated Asia Cup 2025 final, a rematch against the World Champions. The World Champions have been invincible in the format, while this is the first time since the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy that they will play in an ICC knockout game.
Just before the onset of the game at the Dubai International Stadium, a Pakistani minister slammed batter Saim Ayub for his dismal form with the bat. Ayub, who has scored very few runs in the competition, with several ducks.

Though Pakistan have been a dominant side, they have struggled throughout the tournament with their batting. They have been undefeated against teams except India and would finally look to avenge their defeats in the final encounter.
However, one of the major reasons for their batting failure is due to Saim Ayub's concerning form. The batter has 4 ducks, three in the group-stage itself, and one against Bangladesh in the very crucial Super 4 game. To this, Pakistan minister Firdous Ashiq has issued a stern warning to the batter.
Addressing the batter, Firdous said in strong terms (as quoted by TOI): "Saim Ayub, jo tumhare ander potential hai. Sardiyan nahi aye ki ande khane hain. Iske bahar niklo. Jo tumhara natural khel hai, wo khelo. Jo tum jis tarah khauf se shots maar ke out ho rahe ho, ye tumhara maiyaar nahi hai [Saim Ayub, you have a lot of potential. Don’t just wait around like it’s winter and you’re here to eat eggs. Step out and play your natural game. The way you are getting out by playing fearful shots is not your standard]."
"Play some aggressive cricket, before he gets dismissed," claims the Pakistan Minister
The minister seemed frustrated and went on to add that the cricketer should go out and play some aggressive brand of cricket. After adding some quick runs at the top, even if he gets out, that is understandable. However, he has highlighted that getting out without scoring any runs is disrespectful for the player as well as the team.
"Aggressive cricket khelo. Aur inko dhone ke baad out ho, to hume dhand pad jaegi. Lekin pehli ball pe jana, ye tumhari shaan ke khilaaf hai. Aur humari bhi beizzati hai, bete. Aap thoda pressure se bahar nikal ke aage aao [Play aggressive cricket. Even if you get out after taking calculated risks, that’s understandable. But getting out on the first ball goes against your pride and is also disrespectful to the team. Come out of the pressure and move forward with confidence]," she said.
Saim Ayub has the second-most T20I ducks for Pakistan
After his duck in the last game against Bangladesh, Ayub now has 9 ducks in the shortest format of the game. He is just one duck behind from reaching the top of the list alongside a former Pakistani wicket-keeper batter.
Umar Akmal went on to have 10 ducks throughout his career, while Saim Ayub, on the other hand, has already reached the unwanted milestone. His return to form in the Final would be essential for Pakistan's dominance against India.
