In the third and final Test at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Sajid started strongly by claiming the key wicket of Ollie Pope with a clever LBW decision as the England opener attempted a sweep. He continued to make an impact by dismissing Joe Root with a well-placed spinning delivery.

The seasoned Pakistani spinner then bowled out Harry Brook, who also tried to sweep but ended up losing his wicket. As England struggled at 118/6, Sajid Khan struck again, having Ben Stokes caught at slip.

Sajid rounded off his impressive performance by dismissing Rehan Ahmed and Jack Leach as England collapsed to just 112 runs in their second innings in Rawalpindi. He had then taken the vital wicket of Ben Duckett and completed his four-wicket haul with the dismissals of Jamie Smith, Gus Atkinson, and Rehan Ahmed.

Sajid finished with figures of 4 for 69 in 18 overs in the second innings to play a key role in Pakistan’s win. He finished the three-match Test series with 19 wickets in just two matches for Pakistan.

Sajid Khan opens up about his injured chin

However, Sajid injured himself while batting in the Rawalpindi Test. He attempted a bold lap shot against England's young leg-spinner, Rehan Ahmed. But the shot didn’t go as planned, and the ball ricocheted off his bat, hitting him hard on the chin.

Blood immediately began to flow down his face and neck, prompting quick medical assistance on the field. However, Sajid wasn’t fazed by the setback. After the match, Sajid revealed that there were “two stitches on it (the cut he picked up on his jaw). Playing for the country, so such things don't matter. My duty is to help the set of batters that are out there. Today Saud was there, and I had to support him.”

Sharing how they fooled England players, the spinner noted: “We were only doing that [speaking loudly in Urdu] to deceive the bowlers. Rehan and Shoaib understand Urdu, so to fool them, we wanted them to hear we were only looking for the single. When we did that, they brought the field up and the bowlers flew it. Saud told me once they do, no half measures: just go for the big shot as hard as you can.”
