Pakistani skipper Salman Agha, in the post-match press conference, announced that the Pakistani players would donate their match fees to the civilians and the children who were found dead in the Indian attack on their territory.
India defeating Pakistan is not a new landmark for either team, as Suryakumar earlier said that it is no longer a rivalry; a team that loses so often without posing a major challenge to their rivals cannot be taken seriously.
Though these statements led to Suryakumar being fined by the ICC, it seemed to have been proved right once again as India crushed Pakistan in the Asia Cup final to seal their 9th title in the history of the Asian tournament.
Salman Agha and Pakistan donate match fees to civilians affected by the Indian attack
The Pakistan team have had a humiliating end to their Asia Cup 2025 campaign, having lost on 3 occasions to the Men in Blue. The Suryakumar Yadav-led side dominated their rivals in every aspect of the game, which also included gestures and acts that were not connected to the game.
After the immense controversies that led to the ICC taking action against players from both teams, the Pakistan skipper, who looked visibly frustrated, made a shocking announcement that all Pakistani players would donate their match fees for the welfare of children and war-affected people who were injured during the India attacks.
"We donate our match fees to the civilians and kids who were killed during attacks by India," said Salman Agha in his statement.

Pakistan skipper blamed Indian cricketers for disrespecting cricket
As the Pakistani cricketer Salman Agha faced the media, he instigated them, saying India is not only disrespecting Pakistan but is also setting a bad example for generations to come in the gentleman's game. The match marked several bizarre incidents, like the continuation of the snubbed handshake, no customary photoshoot, captains speaking to different presenters at the toss, and lastly the refusal to accept the trophy.
“They are not disrespecting us by not shaking hands; they are disrespecting cricket. Good teams don't do what they did,” complained Salman Agha.
“We went to pose with the trophy (photo shoot) on our own because we wanted to fulfil our obligations. We stood there and took our medals. I don't want to use harsh words but they've been very disrespectful,” he further clarified on posing alone with the trophy, after Suryakumar Yadav refused to pose in the same frame alongside the skipper.
Though Salman Agha himself was spotted throwing off the runner-up cheque after taking it at the dais. This act was also met with serious criticism from fans who stayed back for the presentation ceremony.
BCCI secretary clarifies India's reason behind refusal of the Trophy
After the Indian fans were confused by the Indian cricketers refusing to receive the Asia Cup Trophy despite having won it, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia has stepped up to provide clarity on the issue.
Suryakumar Yadav refused to take the trophy from the hands of ACC Chief Mohsin Naqvi; they instead insisted that the Emirates Cricket Board vice-chairman hand over the trophy. However, Naqvi stood his ground and did not agree to the term. He was also seen carrying the trophy off the field after a melodramatic pause.
The BCCI secretary, Devajit Saikia, has mentioned that India refused the trophy from Mohsin Naqvi since he is also the PCB chief as well as an internal minister within the Pakistan government. India, however, celebrated joyfully even without any silverware in their hand.
