Sanju Samson OUT!! No Rinku Singh? India's Playing 11 for Sri Lanka T20Is sealed

India is all set to tour Sri Lanka for an ODI and T20I series. The India vs Sri Lanka T20I series will be played first followed by the ODI series. Both series will observe a total of three matches. The three T20I games will be played on July 27, July 28, and July 30.

All the games will be played at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Sri Lanka. Interestingly, Suryakumar Yadav has been named the skipper for the T20I series despite former vice-captain Hardik Pandya being part of the squad.

Hence, Pandya will now work under Suryakumar Yadav after doing a stunning job as Rohit Sharma's deputy in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. He also bowled a marvelous over in the final against South Africa to defend 16 runs and lead India to the trophy.

Yashasvi Jaiswal should be the other opener for Team India in the T20I series against Sri Lanka. He slammed a stunning 93-run knock in one game and finished as the 2nd highest run-getter in the recent T20I series against Zimbabwe.

Suryakumar Yadav (C)

Suryakumar Yadav is the captain of Team India in the India vs Sri Lanka T20I series and will lead the team in all the matches. The right-handed batsman played some match-winning knocks in the ICC T20I World Cup 2024 in June and will aim to replicate his batting as skipper this time.

Considering Rishabh Pant's recent outings in IPL 2024 and in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, he might be given the nod ahead of Sanju Samson in India's playing 11 vs Sri Lanka.

Shivam Dube

After a spectacular show in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, Shivam Dube will aim for a new journey in the upcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka. Dube has shown a marvelous form this year and he is a powerful hitter in the playing 11.

Hardik Pandya

There is no doubt that the team has to play Hardik Pandya in every game in any ODI or T20I. Pandya gives the option for a lower-order batsman and also an extra seamer in the playing 11. He grabbed the limelight under Rohit Sharma and now he will look up to excel under the captainship of Surya.

Arshdeep Singh impressed everyone with his lethal attack in T20 World Cup 2024; picking a 4-wicket haul in one match. He was the highest wicket-taker in the tournament at an average of just 12.65. The left-armer will now aim to crush Sri Lanka.
