Former Australia National Cricket Team spinner Brad Hogg has stated that the father of the star wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson, Vishwanath, should issue an apology to Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni and Rahul Dravid over his controversial comments.
Brad Hogg stated that the comments made by Sanju Samson's father were not at all needed and it might have put the wicketkeeper-batsman under pressure.

What did Sanju Samson's father, Vishwanath, say?
Sanju Samson has cemented his place in the Indian T20I team with his back-to-back centuries while opening the innings for the side.
Just after Samson became the first Indian to smash back-to-back hundreds in T20I cricket, his father, Vishwanath Samson, made some explosive comments.
He accused the legendary India stars MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rahul Dravid, and Rohit Sharma of wasting 10 years of his son's career.
Vishwanath reckoned that his son was not given adequate opportunities by the aforementioned quartet, and they hurt him a lot, only to see Sanju coming out of the crisis stronger than ever.
Speaking on his official YouTube channel, Brad Hogg stated that Samson's father shouldn't have made such comments about the legendary India cricketers. He stated:
"Sanju Samson's father coming out and saying to the public that Dhoni, Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Dravid have held his career back 10 years is not the ideal situation that you want to be in. They are four big names in Indian cricket. They've had a lot of success."
Hogg highlighted how the comments made by Vishwanath could backfire and put the wicketkeeper-batsman under pressure. He also advised Samson's father to issue an apology to Dravid, Dhoni, Kohli, and Rohit. He stated:
"Sanju Samson is a fantastic player. He's starting to cement his place in that Indian team. He's made two hundreds in a row after it. I just feel that comments like these from the family put too much pressure on Sanju Samson moving forward. I think there's got to be an apology made and this is for the benefit of Sanju Samson's career as well."
Keep the mouth shut and just let the bat do the talking - Brad Hogg
Hogg further stated that after years of grinding and consistently performing for the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Samson got a break in the Indian team and he should make his bat do the talking.
"He's established himself in the IPL. He's the captain of Rajasthan Royals. There have been quality players, quality batsmen, who have all lined up for India. It's very hard to break in there," the former Australian cricketer added.
"So, you've got to break the process. You can't control what the selectors or what's in the selectors' minds. So, for me, when it comes to situations like this, keep the mouth shut and just let the bat do the talking"
