Sarfaraz Khan is showing his talent with the bat in the second innings after leaving himself and the Indian cricket team is disappointed with his duck in the first innings in the ongoing first Test against New Zealand at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

So far in his innings, Sarfaraz Khan played some elegant shots, hammering five boundaries and three sixes against New Zealand in the ongoing opening game of the three-match Test series in Bengaluru.

However, the Mumbai batter’s one shot left one and all in awe for him. On the last ball of the 27th over of India’s second innings, William O'Rourke bowled a short delivery on the middle stump, and Sarfaraz Khan played a gorgeous shot.

The right-handed batter leaned back, getting low to perfectly position his bat to lift the ball over the slips for a boundary. It was a remarkable yet challenging shot to pull off.

In the fourth ball of the same over, Sarfaraz Khan smoked a beautiful six against William O'Rourke. The New Zealand pacer bowled a short delivery outside off, and Sarfaraz executed a brilliant shot. Playing with confidence, he leaned back and expertly timed the ball, sending it soaring over the deep backward point boundary for a six at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

It was a beautifully executed uppercut that sailed over with ease. The young batting sensation then smashed back-to-back-sixes against the New Zealand spinner Azaz Patel in the 31st over. Ajaz Patel bowled a full toss right in Sarfaraz’s zone, and he didn't hold back.

Sensing the opportunity, the Team India batter stepped in and sent the ball soaring over the deep mid-wicket boundary for a six. Then in the next ball, Ajaz bowled another half-volley to Sarfaraz, and the Mumbai batter made sure to grab another opportunity, leaning in and launching the ball even further into the stands at deep mid-wicket for another six.

It was an impressive shot that highlighted Sarfaraz’s power and timing. Interestingly, Sarfaraz is targeting all the Kiwi pacers, but it seems that William O'Rourke and Azaz Patel are his favorites, as the Indian batter has already smoked six boundaries against them. Additionally, Tim Southee also conceded two boundaries to Khan in Bengaluru so far.

Meanwhile, Sarfaraz Khan successfully pushed the Matt Henry delivery through the backward square leg for a single to notch up his fourth fifty in Test cricket. He smashed the fifty off 42 balls with the help of six fours and three sixes in the ongoing first Test against New Zealand.

He played an impressive inning, especially under pressure, and earned applause from the crowd and his teammates. Sarfaraz played confidently, using sweeps against Ajaz and taking on the pace bowlers with ease, hitting every Kiwi pacer. After reaching his milestone, he raised his bat in celebration and looked up, as he is aware that he still has more work to do in Bengaluru.
