Second Season Of Road Safety World Series T20 To Be Played In India And UAE From February 5, 2022

The much popular nostalgic cricket tournament, the Road Safety World Series T20 which sees several former and retired cricketers turning out for their respective countries, will see its second season being held from February 5 onwards and will be hosted in India and United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The first season saw the India team led by Sachin Tendulkar winning the tournament and the tournament featured the likes of South African Jonty Rhodes, West Indies’ Carl Hooper, Sri Lankan Tillakaratne Dilshan, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, and Australia pacer Brett Lee amongst other big stars.

The whole tournament was hosted in the Wankhede Stadium and DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. But when the second wave of COVID-19 gripped the capital of Maharashtra state, the tournament was moved to Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium, Raipur, which also hosted the final.

The second season of the tournament is all set to embark from 5th February 2022 till 19th March in India and then it is scheduled from 1st March 2022 in UAE, incorporating the grand finale on the 19th of March 2022.

160 Retired International Cricketers To Be Part Of The Second Season Of Road Safety World Series

Organized by MSPL & ANZA Investment Group, an Emirates Cricket Board official confirmed it, having issued a NOC for the mega event to the organizers ANZA Investments Group. ANZA Investment Group is a group company of Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan.

The upcoming season will witness more than 160 international retired cricketing legends, where you will watch the cricket champions in action giving their stellar performance. The RSWS, which was founded by Ravi Gaikwad, came into existence in order to raise awareness about road safety. Sunil Gavaskar, former India captain, is the Commissioner of the series, while Sachin Tendulkar is it’s Brand Ambassador.

Former Sri Lankan cricketer Tillakaratne Dilshan was the player of the series of the inaugural edition of the RSWS. Not only did he score the most number of runs in the earlier edition, but he was the leading wicket-taker as well.

Therefore the hype for the second season of the T20 tournament is at an all-time high as the cricket fans still want to see their favorite cricketers from yesteryears to entertain them on the field once more.
