Virat Kohli's much-anticipated return to the Ranji Trophy didn't quite go to plan as the veteran Indian batter was dismissed for just 6 runs in Delhi's first innings. Railways fast bowler Himanshu Sangwan bowled a length ball that angled in after pitching.
Kohli, who had just smashed a boundary off the previous delivery, found his off-stump uprooted this time as the Delhi crowd was stunned in silence. It was a huge wicket for Himanshu Sangwan and he was pumped up after the dismissal.
After the fall of Kohli's wicket, social media was buzzing and trolled him for another low score. The crowd which had come in thousands of numbers, also started leaving the ground after his wicket.

Virat Kohli's poor run continues
Kohli came into this match on the back of poor form in Test cricket recently. In the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, he failed miserably and scored just 190 runs across five Tests at an average of 23.75.
He decided to play Ranji Trophy after the BCCI's decision to make domestic cricket compulsory for every centrally contracted cricketer. Apart from him, India's international stars like Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Siraj, and KL Rahul have also featured for their respective teams.
Kohli will be playing in the ODI series against England after this match. Afterwards, he will be featuring in the Champions Trophy 2025 where he will be a key player for India.
