Shah Rukh Khan shares emotional post for India's T20 World Cup 2024 heroes amid grand celebration in Mumbai

Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan showered rich praise on the Indian cricket team following the exuberant celebrations of their ICC T20 World Cup 2024 victory in Mumbai. He penned a heartfelt message to laud India’s stellar performance in the tournament amid their jubilant celebrations in Mumbai.

Team India, led by captain Rohit Sharma, arrived back home to a hero's welcome, starting with an airport surprise for a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. The celebration continued with a roadshow along Marine Drive in Mumbai, culminating in a grand felicitation at the iconic Wankhede Stadium on June 4.

It is being said that approximately 300,000 fans gathered to witness their World Cup heroes during the team's open-bus victory parade in Mumbai. A sea of people at Marine Drive and then at the Wankhede Stadium was just amazing to see and showed how sports united the people.

As Mumbai embraced the T20 World Cup 2024 heroes in grand style, Shah Rukh Khan conveyed his immense pride in witnessing the young India cricket team bring home the prestigious trophy. He encouraged the national team to relish their invincible spirit by dancing throughout the night, celebrating their remarkable achievement on the global stage.

The Bollywood megastar also saluted the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, Indian cricket team management, and support staff for their tireless hard work behind the scenes to enable the team to soar high, referring to T20 World Cup 2024 success.

He shared a PTI post on his X handle displaying the Men in Blue’s victory parade in Mumbai and wrote a heartfelt message for the national heroes. In the video, the players can be seen enjoying the electric atmosphere in the city of dreams, flaunting the silverware with pride.

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah said, "What I saw today, I have never seen anything like this before" after witnessing so much love from the huge crowd during India’s victory parade in Mumbai. On the other hand, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma said: “The huge turnout of fans to welcome us shows they were as desperate for this T20 World Cup title as we were.”

Notably, the BCCI handed the INR 125 crore prize money to the 2024 T20 World Cup-winning team during the facilitation ceremony at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Thursday.
