Pakistan National Cricket Team fast bowler Shaheen Afridi was in awe of the way the India National Cricket Team made a comeback against the Australia National Cricket Team in the ongoing fourth Test. The game between the teams is taking place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne.

India National Cricket Team and the Australia National Cricket Team are engaged in an enthralling contest in the fourth match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The Rohit Sharma-led side, after being dominated on the first two days, have staged a massive comeback.

India National Cricket Team staged a great comeback on Day 4 of the ongoing Test match at MCG

After the Australia National Cricket Team posted a massive total of 474 runs on the board, the India National Cricket Team, in response, came up with the fighting effort. This was because they struggled to get going at the start, but after that, it was Nitish Kumar Reddy (114), and Washington Sundar (50) brought the team back.

Thanks to their effort with the bat, the India National Cricket Team posted a first-innings total of 369, falling short of 105 runs. However, after that, it was a magical effort with the ball led by Jasprit Bumrah, who continued his golden form with the ball in the series

Jasprit Bumrah, yet again, was the main performer for India as he picked wickets in a flash while Mohammed Siraj supported him well. The duo has bowled sensational well and from being completely down in the series, they have given them a real chance to win the match.

Shaheen Afridi wasn't picked in the Pakistan squad for the ongoing Test series against South Africa

This comes after Afridi wasn't picked in the Pakistan National Cricket Team squad for the ongoing Test series against the South Africa National Cricket Team. The PCB stated that the pacer has been rested but various reports have claimed that he was dropped.

The reports claimed that Shaheen Afridi was asked by the selectors to play a four-day game ahead of the South Africa Test, but the pacer didn't agree, hence PCB excluded the fast bowler from the Test squad, citing workload management, and then allowed him to play in BPL.

Shaheen Afridi was also asked about his snub from the Test; he said that he didn't want to answer that and asked the reporters to question about the Bangladesh Premier League, adding that he is fit to play all three formats. He said:

"Sorry for that, can we just question the Bangladesh league. I am fit (to play across formats) and that's why I'm here (to play BPL)."
