Shai Hope's one handed blinder ends Sai Sudharsan's long stay in the second innings

West Indian wicket-keeper Shai Hope stunned all with a sharp one-handed catch in the slip cordon when Sai Sudharsan edged a ball from West Indian skipper Roston Chase. The West Indies have something to celebrate early on Day 5.

India has dominated the West Indies in the two-match Test series, winning the first game at Ahmedabad and now almost on the doorstep of a victory in the second Test at New Delhi. However, unlike the previous game, India could not win the match by an inning.

Watch: Sai Sudharsan's sharp edge caught by Shai Hope in the slips

While India is chasing the total of 121 in the second innings, the majority of the scoring was done on Day 4, with only 58 more runs needed on the final Day. India have looked determined to wrap things up within the first hour of the day's play, and hence KL Rahul has taken charge with his long levers.

However, West Indies skipper hands them some untimely joy, as he dismissed Sai Sudharsan in the 29th over of the game for 39 runs. The ball was nicely tossed up delivery on off stump; Sudharsan was lured to a big drive by the bowler's length, but it dipped and spun sharply, taking the edge from the bat and flying to the right of first slip.

Shai Hope stood in the first slip and, showing his cat-like reflexes, he took a sharp one-handed catch to send the India no. 3 back to the pavilion.

KL Rahul with the winning runs, India seal a clean sweep against West Indies

An unbeaten half-century and KL Rahul have sealed it for India despite the dismissals of Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill this morning. The two centurions and the half-centurion from the previous innings were dismissed in search of quick runs, but Rahul once again delivers with his composure.

India sealed the series 2-0 and has now added 12 very essential points to their WTC Campaign tally. This would take the Indian side above the Sri Lankan side to the second position in the WTC points table.

India has a strong start at home conditions for the first time under Gautam Gambhir's reign; these are good signs before they take on South Africa for the three-match Test series to be held in the November-December window.

Roston Chase's turn second West Indian with the most disheartening record

Despite all his efforts with both the bat and the ball, Roston Chase could only manage to lead his team to a second-best position in the series. The West Indian batters, especially Shai Hope and Justin Greaves, showed some remarkable grit that helped them post a target after sustaining a follow-on in the first innings.

However, Roston Chase has reached an unwanted milestone in his Test career. The West Indian skipper became the second West Indian captain, after former skipper Kraigg Brathwaite, to have lost all five of the first five Tests in charge in international cricket.
