Shakib Al Hasan has been in the news for the last few months. Ever since the anti-government protests started in Bangladesh, he has become the hot soup of the situation and was even accused in the murder case of a worker during the protests.
Shakib Al Hasan wasn't allowed to play in South African Tests
Shakib Al Hasan, despite that, was allowed to play for the country as the Bangladesh Cricket Board allowed him to play for the national team until he was proven guilty. He featured in the Test series against the India National Cricket Team, and during that, he announced his retirement from Tests and T20Is.
Shakib Al Hasan expressed his desire to end his Test career at home in the ongoing Test series against the South Africa National Cricket Team. But there were a lot of questions about his availability due to security reasons, and the board mentioned the all-rounder wouldn't face any trouble if he were to return to Bangladesh to play.
But the BCB later changed their stance and mentioned that they didn't want any untoward incident to take place during the Test series. As a result of this Shakib Al Hasan didn't return to Bangladesh to feature against the Proteas due to security reasons even though he was named in the team.

But the all-rounder isn't sure if he will be playing for the Team in the Afghanistan ODIs. While speaking to Cricbuzz, he mentioned: "How I can tell (whether I will be playing the ODIs against Afghanistan or not) BCB should tell about it."
