Bangladesh National Cricket Team have named their squad for the first Test against the South Africa National Cricket Team. Premier all-rounder Shakib Al has been named in the team and will be getting a fairytale ending to his career in the longest format of the game.
Ahead of the recently concluded Test series against the India National Cricket Team, Shakib Al Hasan announced his retirement from the format. He said that the second game of the series will be last in the Bangladesh whites if he isn't allowed to play in the Test series against the South Africa National Cricket Team.

Bangladesh National Cricket Team is all set to host the South Africa National Cricket Team in the two-match Test series. The series will begin at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium on October 21 and the second test will be played at Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong from October 29.
Bangladesh had a great outing in the Test series against the Pakistan National Cricket Team. They whitewashed the opposition in their home but, after that, were at the receiving end of thrashing at the hands of the India National Cricket Team. They faced a 2-0 whitewash against the Rohit Sharma-led side. But now, with the Test series slated to take place at home, they would be confident of winning the series and bagging important ICC World Test Championship points.

He currently is the third-highest run-scorer for his team in Test cricket with 4609 runs, including five centuries and 31 half-centuries. He is also the leading wicket-taker for Bangladesh in Test cricket. The left-hander has taken 246 wickets and is the only bowler from his nation to go past the 200-wicket mark in Tests.
