Legendary Australia National Cricket Team pacer Brett Lee has made a huge revelation about his younger brother, Grant. The former quick has said that his younger brother Grant Lee was better than him and Shane Lee combined, still, he didn’t play for Australia.

The express pacer Brett Lee represented Australia in international cricket between 1999-2012. He played 76 Tests, 221 ODIs, and 25 T20Is for the Aussies. Shane Lee, on the other hand, played international cricket between 1995-2001. The all-rounder represented Australia only in one format, which was ODI where he played 45 matches.

Meanwhile, speaking to JioCinema, Brett Lee said that his younger brother Grant was better than him and Shane in cricket. However, the 46-year-old revealed that Grant didn’t take his cricket career seriously as he wasn’t enjoying it.

“My younger brother, Grant. Shane and I both played for Australia and Grant was better than both of us put together. But he got to the age of 18 and said, I’m not really enjoying my cricket. And Shane said, well if you’re not enjoying it, quit. And he quit,” said Lee.

I was always the quickest in U12s & 14s – Brett Lee

Brett Lee revealed that he got to know about his express pace at a very young age. He also said that he was considered the quickest among his group since the U-12 cricket days.

“Probably sixteen. I was playing with the grades, and I was always the quickest in U12s & 14s. At the age of 16, playing in the Sydney grade, to go from regional grade to Sydney grade against the big boys, that was when I was like, okay this is going to be challenging. But at sixteen, I thought I knew then I was going to be quick,” Lee added.

Talking further about Brett Lee, he finished his career with 310 wickets in Tests, 380 wickets in ODIs, and 28 wickets T20Is. On the other hand, his brother Shane Lee scored 477 runs and bagged 48 wickets in ODI cricket. Brett said goodbye to international cricket in July 2012. Meanwhile, Shane was forced to retire early in April 2003 at the age of 29 due to his knee problems.
