Sharm Karo: Mohammed Shami Slams Ex-Pakistan Cricketer For Accusing India Of Cheating

India fast bowler Mohammed Shami has hit back at ex-Pakistan cricketer Hasan Raza for his bizarre claims regarding the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.

The former cricketer, who represented Pakistan in 7 Tests and 16 ODIs, has been making some absolutely unbelievable claims to undermine India’s stunning performance in the ongoing competition. With India’s pacers doing extremely well in the tournament, Hasan Raza accused ICC and the BCCI of giving Team India a different ball in order to help them extract more seam and swing.

A couple of days ago, he was at it again and said that DRS manipulation is one of the reasons behind India’s success in the competition. His comments came after India thrashed South Africa by 243 runs to extend their winning run in the tournament. After Ravindra Jadeja’s career-best five-wicket haul helped India bowl out the Proteas for just 83, Hasan Raza told a Pakistan TV channel:

“Jadeja picked up five wickets and finished with career-best figures. We were talking about technology where DRS was being taken. Van de Dussen was the batter and the ball was hitting the middle stump after pitching on leg stump. How is that possible?

“The impact was in line, but the ball was headed towards the leg stump. Like everyone else, I am just sharing my opinion. I am saying that such things should be checked. DRS is being manipulated and that is clearly visible,” he added.

Mohammed Shami slams Hasan Raza:

Hasan Raza has faced severe criticism for his comments. Former Pakistan pacer Wasim Akram also slammed him and asked him not to tarnish Pakistan cricket’s image with his bizarre claims. And on Wednesday (November 8), Mohammed Shami also decided to slam the ex-cricketer. The India star posted a story on Instagram in which he asked Hasan Raza to have some shame and enjoy others’ success.

“Come on, have some shame, focus on the game rather than indulging in useless chatter. At least sometimes, enjoy someone else’s success,” Mohammed Shami wrote.

“Come on, it’s the ICC World Cup, not your local tournament, and you’re a player, right? Wasim bhai has explained and clarified this before. Hahahahahaha.

“You don’t even have confidence in your own player Wasim Akram. You’re busy praising yourself, my dear. Just like a wow,” he added.
