Shivam Mavi goes unsold at IPL Auction 2025

Shivam Mavi has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at the base price of INR 75 lakh. The right-arm pacer last played in the IPL in 2022. In domestic cricket, the former India Under-19 pacer plays for Uttar Pradesh.
Mavi's IPL journey began with Kolkata Knight Riders in 2018. He earned his maiden IPL contract after impressing in India's victorious campaign at the Under-19 World Cup. In his first IPL season, Mavi played 9 games and picked up 5 wickets.
He did not play any game in 2019 before playing 8 games in 2020 and picked up 9 wickets. In IPL 2021, Mavi picked up 11 wickets in 9 games and helped Kolkata Knight Riders reach the final. He played for the Knight Riders in 2022 as well before being released.
In IPL 2023, Mavi was a part of the Gujarat Titans squad but did not play any games. In the 2024 auction, he was bought by Lucknow Super Giants for a whopping amount of INR 6.4 crore. However, he missed the entire tournament due to an injury.
