Priyansh Arya scores a magnificent hundred for India A
After having contributed immensely to the Punjab Kings' success in his debut season in the Indian Premier League, left-handed opener Priyansh Arya has now announced his arrival on the international front.
Priyansh, who already has the reputation of a dynamic batsman, scored a stunning hundred for India A in his first game for them against Australia A. Opening the innings, Priyansh looked unstoppable in the opening stand alongside PBKS fellow opener Prabhsimran Singh.
His innings of 101 came off just 84 balls, with 11 fours and 5 sixes. A strike rate of 120.23 has helped India make a commanding start. Other than him, Prabhsimran Singh also scored a decent fifty.
Ayush Badoni continues his brilliant form with a quickfire Half-century
After having dominated for Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL, then Delhi in the domestic seasons and finally in the Delhi Premier League as well. Ayush Badoni recently scored a terrific double hundred in the Duleep Trophy for North Zone.
Badoni arrived down the order for India A, as Priyansh and Shreyas scored big daddy hundreds, and Riyan Parag and Prabhsimran Singh started off with half-centuries. Badoni had the perfect stage set for his role as a finisher, since he scored 50 off just 27 balls with 4 boundaries and 3 sixes.
Badoni can be India's upcoming player in the middle order who might play a vital role as a finisher in the coming years. It will be interesting to see if Gautam Gambhir picks any of these new names for the upcoming series in India's international calendar.
