Indian cricket superstar Virat Kohli has once again proved why he's not just a cricketing icon but also a true team player. Speaking openly about his approach to the game, Virat Kohli made it clear that his decisions on the field are always driven by the needs of the team, not by ego or personal ambition.
The RCB superstar further revealed that he never tries to dominate the game for the sake of proving a point. Kohli has stressed that if he's in form and the moment calls for him to take charge, he steps up. But if another player is better placed to lead the charge, he’s quick to give them the spotlight.

Virat Kohli said while speaking on '18 Calling 18' on JioHotstar: “If you look at how things panned out even recently, in one of the Champions Trophy games, Shreyas (Iyer) took charge. It was never about ego. At that time, if I was in rhythm, in the flow of the game, I naturally took the initiative. If someone else were better placed to take the lead, they would do it.”
Kohli further noted, “It was never about trying to overshadow anyone or suddenly feeling like I didn't have the ability. It's always been about understanding the game situation—and that's something I've always taken pride in. I want to play according to what the situation demands.”
