Legendary India cricketer Yuvraj Singh has been a huge asset for Indian cricket. Not only did Yuvraj help India win two World Cups (the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup), but he has also played a key role in developing two high-class players Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma.
Both Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma have trained under Yuvraj Singh before representing India at the international level. Yuvraj's hard work enabled these youngsters to hone their skills and create a huge impact in international cricket so far.
Yuvraj's father Yograj Singh, who is also a coach himself, recently opened up about how Gill and Abhishek trained under the 2011 World Cup winner. Yograj claimed that both the youngsters stayed at Yuvraj's house as he considered them as his own kids.

Yograj Singh reveals Yuvraj Singh's massive contribution
While speaking on a podcast with Taruwar Kohli on YouTube, Yograj Singh revealed how Yuvraj kept both Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill at his own house during the COVID times and helped them prepare for the challenges ahead.
"Jo mai karta tha wo Yuvi (Yuvraj Singh) ne kiya. Mai bacchon ko apne ghar me laake rakhta tha jo banne wale the. Shubman (Gill) aur Abhishek (Sharma) ko apne ghar leke gaya, waha rakha during the lockdown time in Covid," Yograj said.
"I have seen everything. They ate there, stayed there, attended cricket coaching camp without anyone knowing about it. Sometimes, they used to call me up as Puneet Bali was the secretary of PCA during that time," he added.
The videos of Abhishek Sharma training with Yuvraj Singh have gone viral on social media where the latter has been closely watching the youngster and giving him guidance accordingly.
"He wants to give back to the game" - Yograj Singh
Yograj further mentioned about Yuvraj's relationship with the two youngsters Gill and Abhishek. He also spoke about Yuvraj's dream to make Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma world-class players in the future.
"He (Yuvraj) said that I have adopted these two kids and they are like my children. They will stay here and I want to make them great players because if I leave them, they won't be of any use," said Yograj.
"So, this is what he did and even for Shubman, he did a lot and also for Abhishek. So, I think he is doing too much for the game because the game has given him a lot and he wants to give something back to it," he claimed.

Rise of Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma
Both Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma are seen as the future of Indian cricket. While Gill has risen up the ranks quite quickly in the last few years, Abhishek is also following in his footsteps to establish himself as the mainstay in the team.
Gill has also entered India's leadership group and is being groomed as the next captain after Rohit Sharma. Meanwhile, Abhishek is currently one of the most destructive openers in the T20 format.
Both the youngsters are currently playing the IPL where Gill is the captain of Gujarat Titans while Abhishek is a key part of Sunrisers Hyderabad's power-packed batting line-up.
