Star Zimbabwean cricketer Sikandar Raza recently shared his favorite batters and bowlers in international cricket. Notably, Sikandar Raza didn’t include modern-day great batters like Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, Kane Williamson, Joe Root, and Babar Azam among his favorite batters in international cricket.

Sikandar Raza was born in Sialkot, Pakistan, in April 1986. The all-rounder debuted for Zimbabwe in 2013 and was the first non-residential player to represent the Zimbabwe cricket team at the international level. He has established himself as a crucial all-rounder with his batting and off-spin bowling abilities.

The 38-year-old is currently playing for the Manchester Originals in the ongoing Men’s The Hundred 2024 in England. The all-rounder has scored 13 runs, 21 runs, and 13 runs with the bat in his three matches in the 100-ball tournament. With the ball, Sikandar took 2 wickets for 29 runs against the Trent Rockets.

Sikandar Raza recently conducted a Q&A session with fans on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter). During the chat, Raza was asked various questions about both personal and cricket-related topics. He was also questioned about his favorite batters and bowlers in international cricket.

The Zimbabwean T20I skipper named Indian batter Rohit Sharma, along with Zimbabwe’s Craig Ervine and Pakistan’s Abdullah Shafique, as his favorite batters. For bowlers, he picked Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, West Indies legend Sunil Narine, and Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Afridi.

"Your favourite bowler or batsman?" a fan asked.

"Bowlers: Narine , Bumrah and Shaheen. Batsmen: Abdullah Shafiq, Craig Ervine and Rohit," Raza wrote.

Sikandar Raza has played for Zimbabwe in 17 Test matches, 142 ODIs, and 91 T20 Internationals. The right-handed batter has scored 1,187 runs in Tests, 4,154 runs in ODIs, and 2,037 runs in T20Is. He has one century and eight fifties in Tests, along with seven centuries and 21 half-centuries in the 50-over format.

The middle-order batter is also a skilled off-spinner and can bowl leg-spin when needed. He has taken 34 wickets in Test matches, including two five-wicket hauls. In ODIs, he has secured 88 wickets at an economy rate of 4.87, with best figures of 4/55. He has 66 wickets in the shorter international format.

Overall, the Zimbabwean cricketer has played 248 T20 matches across the world. Raza has scored 5,104 runs at a strike rate of 134.24, including 30 fifties. with the ball, the veteran cricketer has taken 145 wickets at an average of 28.12 and an impressive economy rate of 7.41, including three four-wicket hauls.

He was last seen in an international match during India's tour of Zimbabwe last month. Raza led the team to victory in the first match but failed to maintain the winning momentum. The Zimbabwe team lost the remaining four matches against the young Indian cricket team, led by Shubman Gill.
