With Team India thoroughly dominating the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, the Pakistan cricket fraternity has raised several allegations against them. India have been the most dominant team in the competition so far, winning all of their games.

After winning all of their 9 nine league games, the Men in Blue, on Wednesday (November 15), thrashed New Zealand by 70 runs in the first semifinal to advance to the final. As India dominated the tournament, they faced accusations of wrongdoing from former cricketers across the border.

Former Pakistan cricket Hasan Raza accused the BCCI of manipulating the DRS and also alleged that the Indian Cricket Board as well as the ICC are giving India different balls to help their bowlers. And now, Sikander Bakht, another former Pakistan cricketer, has accused India of gaining an unfair advantage over other teams. His comments came after India’s win over New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium.

Sikander Bakht undermines Team India’s win:

Speaking after India’s win, Sikander Bakht alleged that the hosts might be gaining an unfair advantage during the toss. He alleged that India captain Rohit Sharma intentionally tosses the coin farther away from other captains to deceive and potentially gain an advantage in decision-making.

“If you see closely enough, whenever Rohit Sharma gets to flip the coin for the toss, he also tosses it far away from the other captain. It is almost far enough that the other captain never really gets to see what the actual outcome of the toss was,” stated Sikander Bakht.

He then took to X to share footage of the interview and wrote: “Very strange the way Rohit Sharma throw the coin at the toss, far away, don’t let other Captains to see, compare to other Captains in the WC, any reason??”

Meanwhile, India beat New Zealand in the semifinal to make it ten wins from ten in the ongoing World Cup. Riding on centuries from Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer, the hosts posted a mammoth total of 397 for 4. In reply, New Zealand were bowled out for 327 with Mohammed Shami picking up 7 wickets.
