The first Test at the same venue made it clear that spinners would continue to dominate the proceedings in Galle. The best template for the teams would be to bat first and score big as the pitch deteriorates quickly and becomes very tough for batting over time.

Australia did the same and was duly rewarded. They scored big in the first innings while Sri Lanka's batters looked clueless on a deteriorating pitch. Spinners are expected to make a decisive impact in the second Test as well. The first two days will be the best for batting at the venue.

Conclusion:

With no prediction for rain, the second SL vs AUS Test is unlikely to have any major interruption. So, the fans will be able to see a full match between the two sides and will be hoping that both teams deliver strong performances in the forthcoming contest.
