SL vs SA Today Match Live Streaming- How To Watch The Match In Your Country? South Africa tour of Sri Lanka 2021, 2nd ODI. Sri Lanka have taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series after beating South Africa in the first ODI by 14 runs on Thursday. Sri Lanka batted first and posted a mammoth 300-run total in the first innings. Avishka Fernando laid the foundation with a rollicking knock at the top of the order.

After Bhanuka (27) and Rajapaksa (0) got out in the 12th and 13th over, Fernando stitched a brilliant 79-run partnership with Dhananjaya de Silva for the 3rd wicket. The latter got out after making 42, but Fernando kept taking the opposition attack to the cleaners. He then stitched another vital 97-run stand with Asalanka to help Sri Lanka reach past the 200-run mark.

Avishka Fernando eventually got out in the 43rd over after scoring 118 runs off 115 balls. Asalanka too has continued to impress with his ball-striking as he scored 72 off 62 balls. Sri Lanka, in the end, managed to post 300 runs in their allotted 50-overs.

South Africa, in reply, lost Janneman Malan (23 off 31) in the 10th over before Bavuma and Markram exhibited a range of strokes for close to 20 overs. Bevuma, unfortunately, hit his thumb and had to go off the field after scoring 38 off 53.

Rassie Van der Dussen then joined hands with Markram and the duo carried the ship further. The duo produced another good looking partnership and took the team closer to the target. Aiden Markram went on to score 96 before getting out caught while trying to hit a shot over covers.

Van der Dussen, though, was still at the crease and looked on course to guide the team home. Though, he, unfortunately, got out on 59 after failing to play a reverse sweep off Akila Dhanajaya de Silva in the 46th over. South Africa needed 41 off 25 balls at that time and it proved a lot for Heinrich Klaasen and Kyle Verreynne to chase it down. South Africa, in the end, managed to score 286 runs in 50 overs, thereby losing the game by 14 runs.
