Sourav Ganguly, the Former President of BCCI is all set to contest elections for Cricket Association of Bengal President. The Former Cricketer has been one of the renowned figures in Indian Cricket. During his administration tenure, he somewhat changed the face of Indian Cricket.

The team won Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21 which was quite a great achievement as most of the star players were injured. Ganguly would be disappointed that the team wasn’t able to win ICC World Test Championship 2021 where the team had performed remarkably well in that cycle.

Sourav Ganguly on his Tenure

Sourav Ganguly recalled his term. “These were great moments, whatever you do in life. I keep telling everyone, the best days were when you played for your country. I have seen so much after that, I have been president of the CAB, I have been president of the BCCI, and I will go on to do bigger things in the future, but those 15 years will be the best days of my life.” said Ganguly.

“Those were the days when I woke up every morning to be successful. When you left the hotel, you thought it was an important day for me, ‘if I don’t score, I may not be picked again’. But at the end of the day, when you went on to score a hundred, you felt the world is the best place to be in because you have been successful.” he added.

Roger Binny Great Asset

The 1983 World Cup winner is all set to become the next BCCI president. The veteran cricketer earlier was a part of the selection panel in 2012. Undoubtedly, he would be a great addition to BCCI as we can expect Test Cricket to get more priority in the upcoming days.

The billion people would be hoping that the Men in Blue wins the upcoming ICC Tournaments. The problem with India has been that they are not able to handle the pressure of ICC tournaments due to which all the hard work is going in vain.
