Sourav Ganguly Is Stable Now: Dr. Aftab Khan

Former Indian captain and the current President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Sourav Ganguly has successfully undergone angioplasty and is stable now, according to the update provided by Dr. Aftab Khan of the Woodlands Hospital.

Dr. Aftab Khan, in an update as reported by the Asian News International (ANI), has revealed that there are two blockages in Sourav Ganguly’s heart for which he will be treated.

He, however, added that Ganguly is completely conscious as of now and he will be monitored for the next 24 hours.

“Sourav Ganguly has undergone angioplasty. He is stable now. He will be monitored for 24 hours. He is completely conscious. There are two blockages in his heart for which he will be treated: Dr. Aftab Khan, Woodlands Hospital, Kolkata,” reported ANI.

Sourav Ganguly, 48, sent shockwaves around the country and the cricketing world on Saturday morning after news emerged of him being rushed to the Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata.

He was taken to the hospital after he had complained of acute chest pain while working out in the gym this morning.

Following the development, wishes for his good health have continued to pour from fans, former and current cricketers and public figures from all walks of life.
