Opting to bat, New Zealand had a decent start to their innings, with Will Young (21) and Rachin Ravindra (108) slamming 44 runs for an opening partnership. After the wicket of Young, the entire show was stolen by Ravindra and Kane Williamson (102).

David Miller (100*) kept fighting hard for the team and slammed a brilliant century but he didn't get the support as South Africa managed 312 for nine to lose the game by 50 runs.
