Openers: Ryan Rickelton, Reeza Hendricks
Ryan Rickelton and Reeza Hendricks are looking set to be the openers in the Proteas Playing 11 for the forthcoming contest. Both the openers got the start in the previous game but could not capitalize on it.
Rickelton scored 20 runs while Hendricks was out for 21. The Proteas have struggled to get good starts with the bat in the ongoing series and will be hoping that their openers finally deliver in the must-win clash.
Middle-order batsmen and allrounders: Aiden Markram (c), Tristan Stubbs, Heinrich Klaasen (wk), David Miller, Marco Jansen
Aiden Markram has had a disappointing series so far. He did get the start in the previous game but could not score big and departed for 29 runs. The Proteas skipper would be looking to lead his team from the front in the upcoming contest.
Tristan Stubbs will be looking to bounce back after scoring run-a-ball 12 in the high-scoring contest. David Miller once again flopped with the bat as he scored 18 off as many balls when the Proteas desperately needed him to fire.
Heinrich Klaasen scored 41 runs but could not stay till the end to take his team home. Marco Jansen played a blinder with the bat and nearly took his team over the finishing line. The allrounder smashed an unbeaten 54 runs from 17 balls. Jansen picked up a wicket as well.
Bowlers: Andile Simelane, Gerald Coetzee, Keshav Maharaj, Ottneil Baartman
The Proteas could make one change to the playing eleven. Lutho Sipamla is likely to make way for Ottneil Baartman in South Africa playing 11.
Sipamla had a poor outing in the previous game as he gave away 45 runs without taking any wickets. The likes of Andile Simelane, Gerald Coetzee, and Keshav Maharaj are likely to retain their spots in the South Africa playing 11.
