South Africa Playing 11 vs New Zealand- Final, Zimbabwe T20I Tri Series 2025:
Openers: Reeza Hendricks, Lhuan-dré Pretorius (wk)
South Africa would be desperate to take the final for the final against New Zealand as the Rassie van der Dussen-led side is yet to win a match against New Zealand in the ongoing tri-series.
South Africa is expected to go in with their strongest possible XI for the all-important clash against New Zealand and would wish for captain Rassie van der Dussen to lead from the front.
The Proteas will open the batting with the pair of Reeza Hendricks and Lhuan-dré Pretorius, and will hope for them to get the team off to a flier against an in-form New Zealand bowling attack.
The duo has got starts but hasn't been able to capitalize on them both as individual batters and as a partnership, especially against the BlackCaps, and would look to get things right in the upcoming contest.
Hendricks, in particular, will have to take the responsibility and score the bulk of the runs at the top of the order, being the more experienced of the two, and would expect to get good support from his opening partner, Pretorius.
Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Rassie van der Dussen (c), Rubin Hermann, Dewald Brevis, Corbin Bosch, George Linde
The opening pair will be followed by a middle order that comprises some talented batters like Rubin Herman and Dewald Brevis, along with the experience of captain Rassie van der Dussen.
The trio can shift gears according to the situation and would want to capitalize on the good start provided by the openers or stabilize the innings if the opening pair fails to do so.
Herman and Brevis have shown what the batters are capable of in T20 cricket and will look to replicate that in the upcoming match against New Zealand.
All-rounders Corbin Bosch and George Linde will fulfill the role of finishers, along with taking care of South Africa's bowling department.
Bowlers: Andile Simelane, Nqabayomzi Peter, Nandre Burger, Lungi Ngidi
The Proteas will bank on their bowlers to restrict the opposition to a below-par total in the final, and the onus will be on Nandre Burger and Lungi Ngidi, the most experienced bowlers in the playing XI.
Other than Ngidi and Burger, the likes of Andile Simelane and Nqabayomzi Peter will also play an important role in the match.
The four full-time bowlers will be supported by Corbin Bosch and George Linde in all phases of South Africa's bowling innings.
Proteas will have six bowling options in the playing XI for the final at Harare Sports Club.
