Openers: Rubin Hermann (wk), Reeza Hendricks
South Africa will start the innings with the opening combination of Rubin Herman and Reeza Hendricks in the first game of the tri-series scheduled to be played on Monday (July 14).
The openers will look to get the team off to an aggressive start by making full use of the first six overs against Zimbabwe's bowling lineup, which includes the likes of Muzarabani and Ngarava.
The Proteas is going into the series with a new look lineup, including the opening pair.
If we talk about Hendricks and Hermann as individual batters, then the upcoming match is. a great opportunity for them to get some runs under their belt and stake their claim for a spot in the squad for the T20 World Cup.
Hermann is yet to make his debut in international cricket for South Africa and is in line to do so in the first game of the tri-series.
Hendricks, on the other hand, has been in and around the South African setup for the last few years but hasn't had a long run so far.

The opening pair will be followed by an in-form middle order with names like captain Rassie van der Dussen, Dewald Brevis, Lhuan-dré Pretorius, and batting all-rounder Corbin Bosch, making up the core of South Africa's batting.
Except Rassie, all other batters have got some game time coming into the series in the two-match Test series against the same opposition, where all the batters scored at least a fifty.
The batters will be supported by bowling all-rounders Gerald Coetzee and George Linde, who will provide the much-needed balance to the team.
Bowlers: Senuran Muthusamy, Nandre Burger, Lungi Ngidi
The visitors will have at least six bowling options in the playing XI for the first game, which includes three genuine bowlers.
Proteas' fast bowling department will be handled by Gerald Coetzee, Nandre Burger, and Lungi Ngidi, with Corbun Bosch chipping in as and when required.
