South Africa vs Pakistan 2021, 3rd ODI: Pitch Report

SuperSport Park (Centurion) will host this ODI between South Africa and Pakistan. This venue already hosted the opening game of this ODI series, which was a last-ball thriller that Pakistan won by 3 wickets.

In the ODI series opener, South Africa had a weak start but the centurion Rassie van der Dussen and other middle-order batsmen strongly reacted in the middle stage and set up the first innings score of 273/6 (50 overs).

In reply, opener Imam-ul-Haq and captain Babar Azam (who also scored a century in that ODI) set up the strong 177 runs partnership for the second wicket that put them into a comfortable position. But the middle-order batting failure suddenly made the game really interesting and ultimately Pakistan won that ODI on the final ball of that match after losing seven wickets.

This ODI venue is not famous for the high ODI chasing but the first batting teams have some strong high-scoring records. However, in recent ODIs, the chasing teams have achieved higher successes at this venue.

Apart from the batsmen, the pacers also have enjoyed this ODI venue, and we experienced similar things in the ODI series opener.
