The Hyderabad Cricket Association won the best ground and pitch award in the IPL 2019. The stadium received the same award again in the IPL 2024. Sunrisers Hyderabad set a record with the highest team total at the stadium, scoring 277/3 against Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2024. SRH later surpassed this record with 287/3 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Bengaluru.
