Sri Lanka Playing 11 vs India - 2nd T20I, India tour of Sri Lanka 2024

Pathum Nissanka

Kusal Mendis (WK)

Kusal Mendis might be picked as the wicketkeeper and opener in the next game as he has shown superb form over the last year. The right-handed batsman scored 32 runs in 3 games in the T20 World Cup.

Kamindu Mendis

Kamindu Mendis might take the one-down position for the team as he also held the same spot in recent series. He has only played a few T20I games for the side and will aim for a good show against India.

Kusal Perera

Kusal Perera might be picked as another middle-order batsman as he is also part of the squad as one of the keepers. He has played more than 60 T20Is for the national team and his experience will be helpful against India.

Dasun Shanaka

Dasun Shanaka is a crucial member of the playing 11 as he adds depth to the batting and pace departments. The right-handed batsman can smack quickfire runs down the order and also get wickets for the team.

Maheesh Theekshana

Matheesha Pathirana would be the spinner for Sri Lanka in the IND vs SL 2nd T20I. The right-arm spinner is the most powerful in the squad and has also played in the T20 World Cup 2024.

Binura Fernando

Binura Fernando might be another pacer for the side. He has played less than 20 T20I games for Sri Lanka but has impressed everyone with his bowling show. The left arm will add more variation to the pace attack.
